My background is in software development. There, we are taught to split a big intimidating problem into smaller ones that are easy to solve. Once you have done that, you just solve all the small easy problems and you’re done.
This way, instead of fighting a big German shepherd, you fight a dozen Chihuahua dogs — one at a time.
For example: say you’re procrastinating on looking for new office space. Think of the first easy to do step you can do. That may be curating a list of all the available options. Often just taking the first step helps you build momentum to take the next one.
Now take what you’ve been procrastinating on, and see how you can split it into stupid easy steps and take the first step.
